Cookies
The short version: this site sets no cookies at all. The only thing it stores on your device is one browser entry that remembers you have already seen the opening animation, and it disappears when you close the tab. Third-party cookies appear only if you choose to play a release.
What this site stores
- Session storage, not a cookie — it is never sent to any server. Its value is the number 1. It is written the first time the opening animation plays, so that it does not play again while you stay on the site. It holds no identifier and nothing about you, and the browser deletes it when the tab closes.
That is the whole list. There is no other entry, no local storage, and no cookie set by this site under any circumstance.
Measurement
There is none, so there is nothing here to store. The site carries no analytics script, no tag manager, no advertising pixel and no performance beacon. Nothing counts you, and nothing needs to remember that you were here.
Spotify, and only if you ask for it
Spotify’s embedded player is the only third-party content on this site, and it does not load with the page. It loads when you open a release in the discography section — that is, when you ask to hear something. From that moment Spotify can store cookies and similar identifiers on your device on its own account. When this was measured on 5 August 2026, those included sp_t and sp_landing, which Spotify uses to recognise the player session and to remember playback settings. The exact set belongs to Spotify and can change without notice; their cookie policy is the authoritative list.
Before that, when discography comes within one screen of the viewport, the browser is asked to open a connection to Spotify in advance so that playback starts without a wait. That connection carries no request and no cookie, and stores nothing on your device — it is the handshake and nothing else, and it is discarded if you never open a release.
How to avoid third-party cookies entirely
- Do not open a release. The player never loads, and Spotify never stores anything.
- Or block third-party cookies in your browser. Every current browser can do it, and several do it by default. The site works exactly the same either way; the player may not.
- Cookies already stored can be deleted from your browser’s privacy settings, which also lists what each site has left behind.
Why there is no banner
There is no cookie banner here because there would be nothing to ask you about. A banner exists to obtain consent before something non-essential is stored on your device, and on this site nothing non-essential is stored until you open a release — which is itself the choice, made deliberately, on the thing you actually wanted. Asking twice would be theatre.
This is a promise about how the site is built, and it is enforced in the build: the site is tested to prove that a full visit — loading the page and scrolling from top to bottom — reaches Spotify for nothing, and that opening a release is what loads the player. If that ever stops being true, this page changes and a banner appears with it.
